- Operates a delivery vehicle to pick up and deliver mail, print shop orders, supplies, equipment, and packages to sites.
- Runs other district related errands as assigned to sites, local merchants; picks up and delivers school supplies, items needed to be taken to repair to local repair shops, etc.
- Maintains a log of all pickups and deliveries of equipment, supplies and mail. Prioritizes delivery routes based upon efficiency and importance of items being delivered.
- Conducts a daily pre-trip safety inspection of the vehicle; outside inspection to include tires, wheels, fluid leaks/levels, windshield, mirrors, warning system, exhaust system and emergency exits. Inside inspection to include cleanliness, instruments and controls, gauges, warning lights, etc. and reports defects or non-operational findings.
- Complies with all safety policies, rules and regulations.
- Performs related duties as assigned
- Ability to operate a standard or automatic transmission motor vehicle and foot controls with two feet simultaneously.
- Ability to use two-way communication equipment.
- Knowledge of district facility locations.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
- Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years previous driving experience
- Arizona Drivers License
- Any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that meets minimum requirements
